Tool and Die Repair Technician Description:

• Disassemble, clean, assemble, and repair plastic injection molds and metal stamping dies

• Inspect tools for wear, damage, or performance issues and make precision repairs

• Read CAD models, blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions to plan work

• Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, manual and CNC mills, surface grinders, drills, and saws

• Create CNC programs and adjust machine settings for precision

• Operate wire EDM and sinker EDM equipment

• Verify machined part tolerances using micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, toolmakers microscope, and optical comparator

• Maintain records and documentation in compliance with SOPs and work instructions

• Use forklift and overhead crane/hoist (certification required)

• Keep the shop clean, organized, and safety-compliant

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Technical school graduate or 5+ years as machinist/tool maker required

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail essential
