Production Assembler Description:

Duties and Requirements:

• Assemble cable and wire components using detailed work instructions, diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Cut, strip, and prepare wires to precise measurements and specifications
• Perform hand crimping of wires in accordance with IPC620A and company quality standards
• Insert and connect wires into terminals and connectors following production documentation
• Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
• Identify and report material shortages, errors, or discrepancies to supervisors
• Maintain production pace to meet daily output and on-time delivery goals
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
• Perform additional duties as assigned in a fast-paced production environment
• High school diploma or equivalent, or prior manufacturing/assembly experience
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small components
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, BOMs, and written/verbal instructions
• Comfortable using measuring tools (tape measures; calipers a plus)
• Basic understanding of wire types and sizes preferred
• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and stand/sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Capable of learning and working to IPC620A standards
• Basic English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
• Dependable, motivated, and self-driven
