HR Generalist Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented HR Generalist to oversee a wide range of human resources functions, including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The ideal candidate will be a trusted resource for employees and management while helping create a positive, productive, and compliant workplace.

Responsibilities

• Process and administer payroll accurately and on time.
• Manage employee benefits enrollment, changes, and open enrollment activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and other applicable labor laws.
• Maintain employee personnel files and HR records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
• Support employee relations by responding to questions and helping resolve workplace concerns.
• Administer leave of absence programs and maintain required documentation.
• Assist with performance management, policy implementation, and employee development initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate HRIS data.
• Stay current on employment law updates and recommend policy or process improvements as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Three or more years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Georgia employment laws and HR compliance.
• Excellent knowledge of federal and Georgia employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, and other applicable regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
