Distribution Supervisor – First Shift (Canton, GA) Description:

As a Distribution Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in leading warehouse operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and organized distribution process. You’ll oversee daily shift activities, guide your team, and support continuous improvement across the board.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, evaluations, and performance management

• Ensure a safe work environment and actively promote safety culture

• Plan and assign work to maximize productivity using available labor and tools

• Monitor automated equipment and perform/prevent downtime through proactive maintenance

• Maintain high quality standards, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime

• Collaborate with other departments and shift leaders to align goals

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S)

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Evaluate staffing needs and authorize overtime as required

• Identify and resolve issues to maintain operational flow

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (required)

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising employees in distribution or warehouse settings

• Strong communication and team-building skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, WMS/SAP experience, transportation/receiving knowledge, lean manufacturing exposure, blueprint reading
