Job Title: Coating Machine Operator
Location: Canton, GA 30114
Pay: Starting at $17.00/hr; increases to $17.50/hr after probationary period. Additional $0.75/hr shift differential for 3rd shift
Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Shift: 1st and 3rd Shifts Available

Coating Machine Operator Description:

• Operate Geomet and Top Coat plating machines that apply rust-preventative coatings to metal parts

• Troubleshoot equipment and correct quality issues related to coating standards or appearance

• Mix and maintain base coat chemical levels

• Conduct visual inspections, perform quality checks, and log SPC data (X-bar R charts)

• Operate the Shot Blast machine and perform related quality control checks

• Follow production schedules and meet output targets

• Read blueprints and use metric system specifications

• Perform basic troubleshooting of material, tolerances, and machine settings

• Maintain clean work area and adhere to safety and process standards

• Lift up to 25 lbs. consistently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Prior plating or coating experience is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
